Sandi Queen’s ” A Nature Walk with Aunt Bessi”

This year we deviated from our usual studies of Apologia Science and are using “A Nature Walk with Aunt Bessi.”  We love Apologia, I was just looking for something different for a change of pace.

A Nature Walk with Aunt Bessi is a Charlotte Mason style science/nature book.  Throughout the book there are short stories followed by a lesson on the story.  The lessons teach about insects, birds, butterflies, and all sorts of creatures.  It is a delightful book.

We enjoy using it as a change of pace. We do take the lessons further and sometimes watcha  movie or look up more information.  This is a light way to learn about nature, and it does focus on God as Creator.

If you are looking for something to teach nature, especially younger ages, this is perfect. You can certainly use it just weekly for nature, or as a full curriculum for the year.

I enjoy Sandi Queen’s products because of  their Charlotte Mason  style, as well as their gentle approach.
