This question may be from one of our contributors, readers, or one that we have heard asked over our years homeschooling. These questions will pertain to the homeschool family and are meant to help you gain encouragement as a homeschool family.

This week’s question is:

“How do you get everyone up, moving and motivated in the morning?” Our mornings are incredibly ROUGH!

Thanks so much for participating in a little corner of the homeschool internet web to help support and encourage homeschool families around the globe.

Every Thursday we will post a question that will be discussed on different blogs. We invite you to participate also.

We are by no means experts in this area, but we’ve had some success with this idea. We get together and do something “physical” either a kind of work out for kids or game that makes them start moving. Think “simon says” (we use momma says). I try to make it fun and goofy. This will depend on your kids and their ages. Physically moving their bodies improves blood circulation to the brain, improves moods, and increases the ability to listen! This is especially good for boys and helps bring them to a place where they can focus. It might take some tweaking to find what works for your kids. I hope this helps!
